What Is A Landing Page?
Posted by Lloyd T in List Building | 0 comments
I have previously written in my blog postings about squeeze pages, but
I was recently asked by a reader "What is a Landing Page?" as these are
slightly different to squeeze pages in a number of ways. They are also
used in different applications by Internet Marketers and these will be
explained in more detail below.
Typically a landing page is used as a middle ground between your
visitor/customer and the sales page of the affiliate product you are
promoting. In promoting an affiliate product, you use the landing page
as a pre-sales arena and do some pre-selling prior to sending them off
to the affiliate sales page.
In promoting an affiliate product, do you want to collect the details
of the person requesting more information? If you think that you might
move into that niche with your own product at a later date then I would
collect their name and e-mail address. If not then just pass them
through to the affiliate site!
As with a squeeze page, you will need the clear and concise headline
and a list of benefits, that you can pull from the affilate sales
page, as your pre-sell with an opt in box if you want to capture their
details.
With a landing page, the use of a testimonial or two from satisfied
customers of the affiliate product are always good ways to promote and
show the product in a good light. These are always good to have on any
web site and they can also be procured from Fiverr by people
willing to produce a testimonial for just $5.
The final thing to ensure on a landing page is to make the call to
action as large and as prominant as possible. Also make sure that this
first call to action is above the fold and visible on the page without
having to scroll down to find it. This does not preclude you from
having a long landing page and letting the visitor scroll down to read
the content. If this is the case then I would recommend adding extra
calls to action buttons spaced throughout the page!
Hopefully this tells you a bit more about landing pages and how they
differ from squeeze pages although the main purpose of each is similar;
to get the visitor to take action and convert a vist into a sale.

What Is A Squeeze Page?
Posted by Lloyd T in List Building | 0 comments
When I am talking to new people interested in my Internet Marketing
business and work, they always stop me when I mention my sqeeze page
and ask what is a squeeze page and so I rush out a hacknied
explanation. I have therefore decided in this blog post to give a
better interpretation of my understanding of a squeeze page as many of
visitors to this site might not be experienced internet marketers.
If you have set up a domain under which you are hoping to sell a
product or service, the squeeze page is usually the first thing that a
person will see when they visit your site. On this page will be a
number of important items that you will use to convert this casual
visitor into a prospect or, better still, a customer for your product
or service.
Firstly you will need to have a compelling headline that draws the
visitor in and keeps them on your site to read the rest of the
information that you have presented for them. There are surveys that
say that a person only stays on your site for 30 seconds before
drifting off elsewhere so you have those few seconds to get them to
stay and read your information.
Following the great headline, you need a full list of the benefits that
your product or service will give the reader. These are different to
the features of your offering and show the reader how their life will
change by buying the item from you. This can be as short or long as you
like, but some succesful marketers think the more benefits you can
show, the more people will be tempted by your offer. Remember each
person might be looking for a different benefit sobt listing them all,
youi are more likely to make a sale!
Now comes the ethical bribe which is a gift you give the prospect in
return for them giving you their contact details. This can be a short
report further expanding on the benefits of the offer or possibly a
similar downloadable item such as an MP3 file where you discuss the
product.
They leave their details in the opt in box and I would suggest that you
only ask for two things on their initial visit; their first name, so
that you can target your message specifically for that person, and most
importantly, their e-mail address so that you can send them their free
gift (ethical bribe) and develop your relationship with them.
You can also tell them your privacy policy which basically assures the
person that you will respect the details that they have given you and
will not give them to anyone else. This does not mean that you can't
use these collected details to market other people's products, but as
the mail is being sent by you then the terms of the privacy policy have
been maintained.
So these are the basic requirements of a squeeze page and by following
these, you should start collecting details of your visitors which you
can use to market your products and services.
I'd welcome your comments and any sugestions you can make about my
musings on "What is a Squeeze page?"

Speedy List Building - Starting Your Own List
Posted by Lloyd T in List Building | 0 comments
There is always the old maxim thrown out by seasoned Internet
Marketer's that "The Money Is In The List", but when you are just
starting out you wonder where your list, and therefore your income, is
coming from?
There are a number of different ways in which you can build your list
and it is up to you to determine which one, or ones, are best for you
and your product. Building a list requires you to use more than one of
the techniques that I outline in my book, but to try and use them all
at the same time is not the best practice.
By using the scattergun approach you may bring people to your list, but
you will not know how they found you so the best policy is to use a few
methods initially and see if they work before changing over to another
set of methods.
Before you can begin to build your list, you will need to have a way of
saving and talking to those people who do sign up to your offer. The
best way by far is to sign up for a professional auto-responder service
like AWeber, GetResponse or iConnect. These services are designed to
ensure that your messages get through to your client's Inbox and not
end up in their Spam folder. There seems little point in you preparing
a brilliant e-mail marketing campaign and no-one ever sees it.

Find other ZORGIUM pages using your favorite search engine:
Enter your search keyword(s) and the keyword "zorgium" into the search input field of
http://bing.com,
http://yahoo.com or
http://google.com.
Heads up: There's an ongoing spamdexing of Google searchbot algorithms. Sites that are 'copies of copies' and cloaked sites which include Zorgium keywords presented to search engine crawlers yet garbage content presented to human visitors were hosted on thousands of IP addresses and domains registered immediately after the introduction of Zorgium in November of 2009. The Hostgator/'The Planet'/Softlayer datacenters in Texas seem to be the epicenter of this activity in conjunction with anonymously registered domains of various TLD's but primarily .info domains at Godaddy which, in our opinion, has some sort of connection to the domains of goldmint.in and goldmint.org. Google has begun to notice this and has begun to lower the ranking of these sites and put our original sites back on top of the search rankings. These actions, as far as we can tell, negatively impact the use of the keyword 'zorgium' as a search term and provided little benefit, if any, to the perpetrators.
ZORGIUM note to content providers: If you don't want your page to appear in Zorgium's search abstraction then put an exclusion for "Zorgium" in your web server's robots.txt file.
